San Francisco, CA – Oracle Park is set to host a first-of-its-kind pickleball festival from July 20-23 featuring private court rentals and an amateur tournament. Pickleball4America™ (“Pickle4™”), a newly formed organization partnered with the US Open Pickleball Championships focused on developing America’s fastest growing sport, announced their newly created Ballpark Series™ earlier today. In addition to stops at Oracle Park, the inaugural series will also visit Fenway Park and Coors Field this summer.
Pickleball has become one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports, with nearly 50 million American adults playing annually, and this event will mark the first of its kind locally with four days of dedicated pickleball programming. Courts will be placed directly on the field and participants will have the opportunity to reserve court time for an 80-minute session for up to ten players. Multi-court reservations for private groups are available now and individual court bookings will open in the coming weeks.
In anticipation of high demand for the amateur tournament, participants will be asked to register their interest. Registration opens today, Thursday, June 1 and selection will also begin in the coming weeks. All sessions will be available for fans to purchase general admission spectator tickets.
“We continually strive toward bringing unique experiences to the Bay Area,” said Joey Nevin, Vice President of Giants Enterprises. “Northern California is a hotbed for pickleball and we look forward to welcoming fans of the sport to participate in this one-of-a-kind event at the ballpark this summer.”
“We started Pickleball4America with a vision to build the sport’s best ecosystem centered around operating prestigious events and creating a robust digital community that becomes the go-to destination for all who love the game,” said Mike Dee, Chairman of Pickleball4America. “The Ballpark Series builds on the recent success of the 2023 US Open Pickleball Championships which set new records for both participation and attendance. We are excited to now expand our event portfolio in these cathedrals of baseball providing players and fans with a unique experience to enjoy all that pickleball has to offer. Our goal is to shine a bright light on this great game.”
