SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Giants held their annual Media Open House today to reveal “what’s new” for the 2025 season. 2025 marks the 142nd season of Giants baseball, 67th in San Francisco and the 25th anniversary of Oracle Park – a stunning pillar of community, perseverance and excellence.
Leading off the event, Giants President and CEO Larry Baer reflected on historical moments that have happened inside the gates of 24 Willie Mays Plaza:
- First Pitch at Oracle Park by Kirk Reuter (2000)
- First World Series in San Francisco since 1962 (2002)
- Barry Bonds’ 756th Home Run (2007)
- Jonathan Sanchez’s and Tim Lincecum’s No Hitters (2009, 2014)
- Three World Series Championships (2010, 2012, 2014)
- Matt Cain’s Perfect Game (2012)
- Willie Mays Scholars Program Established on Willie’s 90th Birthday (2021)
- 30th Anniversary of Until There’s a Cure® Day (2024)
“25 years ago, we opened the gates to our brand new ballpark on the corner of 3rd and King,” said Baer. “Since then, we are honored to have welcomed over 75 million fans and visitors from throughout the Bay Area, Northern California and the world to the shores of McCovey Cove.”
On Opening Day, the Giants will unveil a newly-renovated Coca-Cola bottle. A 25-year ballpark icon, the bottle will now be lit with an LED screen, enabling an array of animated features and custom label graphics – perfect for themed nights, celebrations and more. Also launching on April 4, fans can cement their legacy in Giants history with the Giants Anniversary brick program. Fans can engrave a special message on a brick along the scenic Bay Trail in China Basin Park, just steps from the ballpark.
Over the last two decades, San Francisco’s southern waterfront has transformed into a whole new neighborhood. What once was a surface parking lot is now a vibrant community that combines an eclectic array of retail, innovative workplaces, affordable and market-rate homes and social amenities. Starting in April, free and accessible year-round programming will take place at Mission Rock, including “Pregame at the Park” – activations with music, food and beverage vendors, games and “Mission Rock Your Workout” – free fitness classes offered every weekday.
Aligned with the organization’s commitment to making Oracle Park the ultimate entertainment destination, the Giants announced a slate of new promotions, technology enhancements and initiatives that will elevate the fan experience.
Focus on Music
Inspired by the deep, diverse and vibrant Bay Area music scene, the 2025 season will play on the rich beats and rhythms that have rocked the city of San Francisco for decades. The Giants have collaborated with local artist, LaRussell, to launch a 2025 Nothing Like It anthem. The independent artist from Vallejo is known for his groundbreaking approach to music production and his backyard pergola concerts.
New this season, the Giants will host two City Connect postgame concerts. After the Giants take on the Red Sox on June 21, Bay Area country singer, and CMA nominee for New Artist of the Year, Nate Smith will perform. Following the game on August 16, fans can catch Bay Area icon and two-time GRAMMY® Award nominee, Saweetie. Fans can enjoy the concerts from their seats or purchase a field pass for greater access.
On May 17, prior to the game against the Athletics, the Giants will host a free City Connect community event at China Basin Park aimed at celebrating Bay Area music and supporting local non-profits that focus on providing Bay Area youth with access to music.
The 2025 Oracle Park concert lineup is packed with top-tier artists, promising an unforgettable live music experience at San Francisco’s most iconic outdoor entertainment venues. For tickets and luxury suite information, visit sfgiants.com/concerts.

The fresh and modern design captures the city’s vibrant energy and sophisticated charm, offering an experience that feels dynamic and inviting.
A revamped Field Club Corridor, featuring new paint and upgraded flooring will further enhance the premium experience at Oracle Park. Three newly designed bars have been strategically incorporated – one adjacent to each Clubhouse and another positioned behind home plate – to offer ticket holders seamless access to their preferred beverages.

New for 2025, Go-Ahead Entry is expanding to the Marina Gate. Last season, Oracle Park became the second venue in Major League Baseball to debut MLB Go-Ahead Entry. The revolutionary technology enabled nearly 70,000 fans to experience the ultimate hands-free entry experience via dedicated entries at the Lefty O’Doul and 2nd & King Gates. MLB’s Go-Ahead Entry technology uses a camera that will identify any participating fan as a registered member of the program as they enter with their group, automatically scanning tickets.
