PRESS RELEASE
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – At the 2025 World Education Congress (WEC), hosted by Meeting Professionals International (MPI) on June 19 at Union Station Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri, Giants Enterprises President Stephen Revetria was honored during the President’s Dinner with the Industry Leader Award — MPI’s highest accolade.
MPI (founded in 1972) is the world’s largest meeting and event industry association. President-CEO Paul VanDeventer welcomed more than 1,900 event professionals, who, over the course of the three-day conference, participated in more than 113 educational sessions that also featured 165 top industry speakers.
An MPI cover story highlighted Revetria’s stellar career with Giants Enterprises as a trailblazer in sports venue entertainment and a longtime event industry leader.

When the Giants’ opened its waterfront ballpark in 2000, Revetria was tasked with developing Giants Enterprises — the first dedicated, white-glove events management team in Major League Baseball. Over that quarter-century, Revetria has developed a dynamic range of activations for the ballpark, ranging from sold-out stadium concerts (the first of which starred the Dave Matthews Band) and non-baseball sporting events, including Supercross, AVP Beach Volleyball, Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament and the Official Spectator Experience for the 34th America’s Cup. He is also civic leader, who co-chaired the 2015 San Francisco City Hall Centennial celebration and executed three World Series Giants Championships (2010, 2012, 2014) parades in downtown San Francisco.
The honoree was toasted by his family and colleagues, including a video tribute featuring San Francisco Giants President-CEO Larry Baer, who praised Revetria for his tremendous organizational flair and laser-focus attention to detail, which translates into critical success for the team’s Oracle Park 40,000-seat venue.
“Stephen is a ‘GSD’ leader: He ‘gets stuff done.’ In 2000 when we opened our ballpark on the San Francisco Bay shoreline, we realized one of the keys to its success was activating the stadium on 280 days of the year when we’re not playing baseball,” explained Baer. “Under Stephen’s leadership, we created Giants Enterprises around that concept. As we celebrate 25 years of Oracle Park, we also celebrate Stephen’s incredible contributions, not just in San Francisco, but in the space of stadium events around the world. Over 25 amazing years Stephen has accomplished so much for the Giants family — and within our wider community — bringing events and magic to our ballpark.”
