Major League Baseball teams collaborate to showcase their Ballparks as Premiere, Year-Round Venues for Events Beyond Baseball

In an inaugural partnership, a strategic cohort of Major League Baseball (MLB) teams are collaborating at IMEX America 2024 to promote meetings, events and sports travel.
Representatives from 8 MLB teams (Arizona, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami & Washington DC), with the support of the MLB League office, are harnessing their collective efforts at IMEX America this year with a unified goal: Amplify the growing trend of utilization of their best-in-class Major League Baseball venues for meetings, events, private concerts and numerous other non-baseball gatherings throughout the entire year.
Teams will be represented in a tangible fashion through the new, physical activation placed just prior to the entrance to the Trade Show floor. This 15ft x 15ft “More than a Ballpark” baseball-branded display represents programming options at all participating venues and provides supporting event related intel as well as an interactive “batting” element. Additionally, each team representative will be participating within their individual DMO / CVB Booths as a strategic regional partner, taking business appointments all week and collaborating to enhance and promote opportunities within their specific “hometowns”.
Ranging from brand new to historic landmarks, these iconic and consistently upgraded venues are being reimagined and complemented by annual infrastructure and hospitality-specific upgrades as well as team-led development initiatives in the surrounding neighborhoods. These ballparks, and their robust and evolving portfolio of offerings, are now being recognized as the ultimate platform to create unique, flexible and behind-the-scenes meeting and event destinations that both planners and attendees desire.
