San Francisco, Calif. – The year’s biggest movie is coming to the biggest screen in San Francisco on Halloween weekend. In collaboration with Warner Bros. & Mattel, Giants Enterprises is hosting the ultimate “Barbie” event at Oracle Park. Guests will have the opportunity to sit on the field or in the stands and enjoy watching the movie on the largest screen in California – 45% larger than San Francisco’s biggest movie theater.
From Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig (“Little Women,” “Lady Bird”), “Barbie” (2023, PG-13) stars Oscar-nominees Margot Robbie (“Bombshell,” “I, Tonya”) and Ryan Gosling (“La La Land,” “Half Nelson”) as Barbie and Ken, alongside America Ferrera (“End of Watch,” the “How to Train Your Dragon” films), Kate McKinnon (“Bombshell,” “Yesterday”), Michael Cera (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” “Juno”), Ariana Greenblatt (“Avengers: Infinity War,” “65”), Issa Rae (“The Photograph,” “Insecure”), Rhea Perlman (“I’ll See You in My Dreams,” “Matilda”), and Will Ferrell (the “Anchorman” films, “Talladega Nights”). “Barbie” will be available to purchase on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting on October 17 and is currently available for purchase Digitally.
“Barbie” has taken the box office by storm, earning more than $1.43 billion worldwide to become the highest grossing film in Warner Bros.’ 100-year history; the highest grossing film ever from a female filmmaker at the domestic box office; and is the largest worldwide film release of 2023.
Warner Bros. Pictures Presents a Heyday Films Production, a LuckyChap Entertainment Production, an NB/GG Pictures Production, a Mattel Production, “Barbie.” The film is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
While Oracle Park has hosted previous public movie nights at the Ballpark, such as a 5,000-person sing-along feature of “Bohemian Rhapsody” in 2019, Barbie Movie Night will feature much more than just a movie screening. Guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Barbie or Ken – or Allan – character and will enjoy multiple Barbie-inspired photo opportunities, specialty activations and themed food and beverages.
“We are very excited to host Barbie Movie Night on our state-of-the-art scoreboard here at Oracle Park,” said President of Giants Enterprises, Stephen Revetria. “The film truly resonates with the Bay Area community and we are thrilled to provide a setting for all to celebrate Barbie.”
Giants Enterprises is also partnering with the Barbie Dream Gap Project to donate a portion of every ticket sold. The Barbie Dream Gap Project is Barbies’ global mission dedicated to challenging gender stereotypes and helping undo the biases that hold girls back from reaching their full potential.
General admission tickets for Barbie Movie Night at Oracle Park will be $24 (plus taxes and fees) and go on sale Monday, October 16, at 10 a.m. PST at sfgiants.com/barbie.
